CFP: Special Issue in Comparative Critical Studies

Comparative Critical Studies, the house journal of the British Comparative Literature Association, is currently soliciting special issue proposals. We have an opening in our calendar for CCS 22.3 (October 2025), so if accepted, your issue would be fast-tracked to be published in October 2025. You can find the journal’s guidelines for special issue proposals here. The issue will be peer-reviewed through a double-blind process. This call for special issue proposals for CCS 22.3 ends on July 31, 2024

CCS is the main Comparative Literature journal in the UK and is well-respected in Comp Lit circles, especially in the UK and Europe (though we have had an increasing number of US contributors (see, for instance, CCS 20.2-3)). We are hands-on editors and run a rigorous peer review process. All our copyediting is done in-house by our General Editors and Assistant Editor (so your work will never be edited by a third party contracted company – as is the case with many of the Oxford UP/Cambridge UP/Brill journals – or by AI). For guest editors, we welcome both those experienced with and new to editing. We work closely with our guest editors through the entire process, from the proposal to the proofs.

Please feel free to write to Adhira Mangalagiri (amm713@nyu.edu) with any questions.
